“It’s like you’ve got your own personal translator with you everywhere you go…”according to Google. And the amazing thing is that the translations have virtually no lag time – picking up the foreign tongue at once and smoothly translating it into one of 40 languages.
Googles “Pixel Earbuds” allow you to enter worlds where you don’t have clue about the language – but you you’ll understand it – all without learning. What an amazing. And we can’t help but wondering if they working on a way to speak back in the same foreign tongue. And oops! They done it!
And not only can Pixel Buds can translate 40 languages using Google’s existing Google Translate technology. And what we found absolutely amazing is that you just need to hold the right earbud and say, for example, “help me speak French”. And just like magic, when you speak, the Buds translate your words into French – out loud. If someone speaks to you in French, the Buds will play you the translation in your ear.
Google Translate has been around for some time is well established (but it’s not always completely accurate). Google Translate is a free service instantly translates words, phrases, and web pages between English and over 100 other languages.
So although it’s ingenious that Google apply this technology on the fly to audio – they did have a leg up on the technology that translates instantly and help them ease into a whole new product line.
Best of all, Pixel Buds are real-time, accurate, and affordable as they will retail for just $159. They are slated for their debut in November 2017. Pretty amazing, but we can’t help but wonder how “French Waiters” will react to this?
